Articles will be handed over to the passenger upon verification of the following documents:
- Boarding card
- Photo identity card (Passport / PAN Card / Driving License / Voter ID)
- Proof that the article belongs to the claimant

If you are sending a representative to collect the article on your behalf please provide in addition to the above documents:
- Authorization letter from the passenger with description of the article
- Photo Identity of the representative (Passport /Pan Card/Driving License/Voter ID card)
The documents can be emailed to us and we request passengers to advise date of collection so that the articles can be made available on arrival.
Storage of Lost and Found Articles:
- Articles not claimed within three months will be disposed of.
- Perishables and articles not suitable for storage will be disposed of within 24 hours.
- The airport will not be liable for any further claim.
- Details of Lost & Found articles for three months are available on the website.
- All bank cards (debit/credit), cheque books and financial instruments found at RGIA will be disposed of within 07 days if not claimed.
Restricted Articles:
Items that are confiscated at the Security Control will not be returned or compensated with the exception of articles of significant value. Should you require any further information, please e-mail, phone or contact us in person at the Information Desk in the Airport Village of the airport.
Public Notification - Lost & Found articles at the Airport
GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) hereby notifies the general public that lost and found articles gathered at the airport terminal of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, Hyderabad (RGIA), for which no claim has been lodged for the past 90 days (details available on our website), are proposed to be disposed of. A final opportunity is given to claimants to submit proof of ownership and identity. Failing this, items will be disposed of through auction. No claim to the items or their proceeds will be entertained.
