Fourth Edition of GMR Hyderabad Airport Run Sees Record Participation with 4300 Runners

Hyderabad, 04 January 2025: The fourth edition of the ‘Hyderabad Airport Run’ organized by GMR-led Hyderabad International Airport soared to new heights, with around 4300 enthusiastic runners participating in the 5K and 10K categories. The event, themed ‘Run, Unwind, and Njoy,’ brought together the airport and city communities for an evening of fitness and festivity.
The event was officially flagged off by Mr. Pradeep Panicker, CEO, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd and other senior officials amid thunderous applause from the audience. The 5K fun run had an Open category for both men and women. This year’s 10K timed run featured six categories: 18 to 39 years (Men & Women), 40 to 59 years (Men & Women), and 60 years and above (Men & Women). Winners of the run were felicitated by Mr. Pradeep Panicker, CEO, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd with medals and prizes.

Following the run, the evening turned into a festive celebration with a captivating live performance by Nakash Aziz, renowned for his music in the blockbuster film Pushpa. The audience was enthralled by his enthralling performance.
The event also featured a range of engaging activities, including fusion dance performances, flash mobs; nail art stalls, a flea market, and a play zone for children, and various food stalls. Designed as a family-friendly event, it offered entertainment and amusement for participants, the airport community, and their families.
With record-breaking participation and vibrant festivities, the fourth edition of the Hyderabad Airport Run truly set a benchmark for community fitness events in the region.
