Orientation programme to the cab drivers at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

Hyderabad, 27 Jan, 2010: GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited today conducted orientation programme to the Cab Drivers of Meru and Easy Cabs today at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

Various issues like Safe driving, accidents, time management, how to behave with passengers, how to give information to the first time travelers to the city, information on airport, traffic management, passengers and airport security aspects, values and beliefs of GMR group were discussed in the orientation programme.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. R.P. Singh, Chief Security advisor of GHIAL said that the cab drivers play very important role in running of an airport. They should give top priority to the passenger’s safety. He advised the drivers to give at most important to the security of the passengers as well as airport.

Mr. Radhakrishna Babu, CFO, GHIAL said that the cab driver’s behavior will give first impression on any airport to a passenger. Hence advised the drivers to behave politely with passengers and that will in turn help drivers also to get good business.

More than 100 Meru and Easy Cab drivers participated and cleared their doubts and gave suggestions to improve their service. Video film is also played on this occasion.

Mr. D. Satyanarayana, GM, Transport, GHIAL said that they are conducting this type of orientation programmes in regular intervals to improve the service quality.

Mr. Rajendra Zhalpuri, COO, RGIA, Mr. Swaminathan, HR-Head, Mr. Viswanath, Manager-HR and others participated in the programme.
