Introduction of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus services from RGIA has been flagged off officially on 14th December, 2012 from RGIA by Sabita Indra Reddy, Hon'ble Minister for Home, Prisions, Fire Services, Army Welfare and Printing & Stationary; M Satynarayana Rao, Chairman-APSRTC; AK Khan, IPS, Vice Chairman & Managing Director-APSRTC and Vikram Jaisinghani, CEO, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL).
GHIAL is proud to partner APSRTC as the new operator for the Luxury Express Bus Services at the airport. RGIA has always ensured that passengers and visitors to the airport have a low cost, yet a very comfortable option to reach the airport. Considering this, and that most international airports have dedicated express bus services, ‘Aeroexpress’ bus services to RGIA was introduced earlier which became very popular over the period. Now, to take our airport bus service to the next level, APSRTC’s air-conditioned and luxurious ‘Pushpak–Airport Liner’, with its big scale of operations and better connectivity has been introduced between RGIA and the twin cities. With its fleet of 28 buses plying 27x7, and enhanced service standards, the collaboration is bound to prove a success!
All Pushpak buses are of AC, low floor TATA Marcopolo vehicles, powered by 240 HP rear mounted engine with auto transmission system. 2 tier luggage rack made of special steel pipes to accommodate big size luggage, usually carried by international travellers. High grade air suspension and retarder break system provided for a comfortable journey. Comfortable and hassle free boarding into bus and alighting from bus due to low level floor height; 1 feet above the ground level are some of the distinctive features Pushpak has for its customer.
